Deep Ellum Art Company Presents: Lake Highlands School of Music Presents: Run for Cover & Kaotic Kaos

• Run for Cover is the student band from Lake Highlands School of Music (LHSM), where owner Zach Galindo, a graduate of Lake Highlands High School, says the chance to perform for live audiences is what his students work for all year. “Music is the best motivator, and a taste of the stage is everything. When you’re on stage with people watching, nothing can match the rush you get. This is the pinnacle of what we want to create – real stages, real sound equipment, real audiences. That’s the thing that cannot be replicated.” Run for Cover is managed and led by amazing local musician, Kirk Thurmond.
• Kaotic Kaos is one of most ambitious younger bands at LHSM. They regularly engage in songwriting and have a spectacularly fun aesthetic. They are creating their own material and that is important. Kaotic Kaos is led by fantastically talented local artist Ava Boehme.
• The Band Formerly Known as Furious George has new direction
  under the guidance of Dallas’ own phenom Joe James. BFKFG is
  fully energized with new membership and poised to kick off the
  show at DEAC.
