Grateful Talking Dead Heads

“Grateful Talking Dead Heads was originally an event in Northwest Arkansas, put on by a few members of the band Groovement, in order to play the music of the Grateful Dead and Talking Heads. It featured a solid core band, supporting a large number of guest vocalists and instrumentalists. The community really jumped on board to celebrate the music of two amazing bands, and so GTDH decided to take the best of what we’d learned and start spreading to other communities. A GTDH show aims to provide a surprising setlist, performed by solid musicians, which brings the community together to support some of the most beautiful and fun music ever written”

Lucas Parker is a rock / fusion guitarist and bandleader based out of Denver, CO. His energetic stage performance and unique style has gathered and held the attention of concert goers and electric guitar enthusiasts in the Midwest live music and festival scene for over 10 years. Lucas Parker Band’s music possesses the compositional detail of Steely Dan, a taste for live improvisational elements reminiscent of Umphrey’s McGee or Dave Matthews Band, all centered around Lucas’ guitar playing, which contains flavors of Jeff Beck, Pat Metheny, and David Gilmour all thrown in a blender and set to shred. LPB has supported numerous national acts including: Andy Frasco & the U.N., Nate Smith & Kinfolk, TAUK, Ariel Posen, Marbin, Consider the Source and many more. Averaging a combined 150 shows a year coast to coast with LPB, Denver-based power trio Cycles, and KCMO’s Jessica Paige (Pitch Magazine Best Vocalist 2021), Lucas has earned a reputation as one of the hardest working musicians in the area. Lucas has appeared on NPR Tiny Desk with Tech N9ne, as well as having performed on stage with Joe Bonamassa, Warren Haynes, Nikki Glaspie, Benny Bloom, and many others. Lucas Parker’s debut LP 0 to 60 is scheduled for release in 2023.
